KDrama Review: Be Positive + Momo Salon

KDrama review web drama edition! Since 2017, I’ve been into web dramas. They’re usually short and sweet, with the occasional WTFs thrown in between. And sometimes, you watch two consecutive ones that are all about PPL (product placement). Which is what happened when I saw Momo Salon and Be Positive around the same time. Haha! Anyway, thoughts and rambling under the cut! Continue reading “KDrama Review: Be Positive + Momo Salon”

Weekly Round-up (20): January 8 – 14, 2018

I’m doing weekly round-ups now, which will include any media I consumed for the past week, from Monday to Sunday. I’d be glad if you end up getting some recommendations but I’m only doing this as a form of a media journal (to make it easy to write reviews later on). And fine, an actual journal too. Here goes!

Download Todome no Kiss Episode 1 English Subtitles here!

EDIT: Someone messaged me on D-Addicts that they’re going to properly translate and sub this drama! So you can just wait for their releases since the subs I made are really crude. Thank you for all your support! You can download their subs HERE!

So I did something crazy. I was looking forward to YamaKen’s 2018 drama since it was announced entitled Todome no Kiss (Todome no Kisu, Kiss that Kills, Kiss of Death). Fast forward to January 7 and it aired! But it’s been almost a week and yet no one has subbed the first episode yet and I’m getting SO desperate that in the end, I found a way to finally watch it.

Yes, I auto-translated the Japanese subs I found and synced the subs to the raw video file I got of the first episode. I know that the subtitles suck. I didn’t dare change much of the wrong grammar because I was getting a headache and because I don’t know if I’d be able to distill the meaning. If someone picks this up for proper translating, I’ll drop this project. I can say though that the subs are understandable and it’s better than nothing. I mean, I FINALLY WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE!

The subs are synced to the 595 MB raw file at PirateFiles.
Japanese subs were downloaded from jpsubbers.
Subs were auto-translated and edited using Subtitle Edit.

DOWNLOAD EPISODE 1 ENGLISH SUBTITLES HERE~

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Jung Hye-sung for High Cut Korea Vol. 213

Jung Hye-sung (Mysterious Il-seungManhole) is wearing soft, see-through natural tones for High Cut Korea Vol. 213. Two more photos under the cut! (I adored her ever since Chief Kim and I’m still on the road to watching everything she’s in. Loved her in her We Got Married stint with Gong Myung!) Discovering the Exception to My Chronic Second Lead Syndrome | TwDrama Review: Murphy’s Law of Love

murphys-law-of-love

I planned on writing two separate posts for these but I found that it would probably be better if I just joined them, as these two topics are linked and both posts would have the same anecdote and I hate repeating myself. Heh. So you can read my review (ramblings mostly) of Murphy’s Law of Love and my discovery story under the cut! I’m doing weekly round-ups now, which will include any media I consumed for the past week, from Monday to Sunday. KDrama Review: Strong Woman Do Bong-soon

strongwoman1

After finishing Strong Woman Do Bong-soon, I knew it wouldn’t be difficult for me to wax a thousand words or so for the show and here are words, hopefully enough to convey how much I adored this show (whilst still seeing its flaws). It wasn’t difficult but I needed to find time to convert the thoughts and feelings I had in the form of chemicals to a collection of words that would make sense. Go under the cut if you want to read about the show! (Also, this draft has been sitting for a long time in here so I just wanted to be done with it! Sorry if it took so long for my promised review back then!)

JDrama Review: Ito-kun A to E [The Many Faces of Ito]

In my neverending quest to watch everything Okada Masaki is in ever, I’ve come across the jdrama Ito-kun A to E. I was intrigued by it because he’s in the film of the same name scheduled to premiere in 2018. When I discovered the existence of said drama, it hasn’t aired yet and so I filed it in my mental list of Okada Masaki dramas to watch.

Then early last week, while I was casually checking Netflix for their newly added shows, I saw The Many Faces of Ito. I thought it sounded familiar and as I was always desperate for good jdramas to watch, I checked it out and lo and behold, it’s Ito-kun A to E! So I immediately queued up the first episode. And finished the entire drama in less than a 24-hour period despite a hectic work day, forgoing sleep because who needs sleep? Detailed thoughts on this wonderful drama below the cut!
