Well, I’ve been pretty bad at updating this blog, huh? Fangirling over Winner has really taken over my life. I always say I’ll come back and post more or talk about Winner more here but I’m just always on Twitter. Hahahuhu
Anyway, so here are the songs I’ve been into for May (the playlist above) and for June (the playlist below). For May, I listened to Post Malone’s latest album, and spent it waiting for Christina Aguilera’s album to drop by looping the singles she dropped. I also made a home on Spotify’s R&B playlists so I got a lot of song recommendations from there. That T-Pain track I heard on the radio while driving, which I rarely do now since it’s all CDs I jam to on the car. Dagny released a song though and she’s always a fave.
For June, my main jam was Xtina’s Liberation album. Like, I still listen to it constantly. I LOVE THE ALBUM, I LOVE MOST SONGS. A greater part of June was also dedicated to Katie Kim’s Remember. Good lord, it such a chill jam for me. And the aesthetics of the music video is A+. Blackpink finally made a comeback and while I’m not the biggest fan of the mini album, I’m a basic bitch and I love DDU-DU DDU-DU. Kesh got me to listen to the latest album from 5 Seconds of Summer and while I haven’t finished listening and absorbing the whole album, the ones I’ve heard were all good.
Please do share your recent bops so I can listen to more music!
I know, I know, I haven’t been in here for so long. I even forgot to share the songs I’ve been into last March. So I’m sharing those, as well as the few I’ve cobbled for April.
Honestly, March was ruled by Shanti Dope, a Filipino rapper, which I shared with my sister but she ended up being the most obsessed. So it’s all I hear in the apartment. Haha! Big Bang released “Flower Road” so for a good whole week or two, that was the only song I listened to. Good lord, the feelings. Then I checked if Wolfie had released any new songs and got into those. I thank Mino for introducing me to Post Malone. And Spotify’s rap playlists for Drake’s “God’s Plan”. I LOVE JUNNY’S “HANDLE YOU”, can I just say.
I’ve been neglectful for new music last April because WINNER RELEASED THEIR SECOND ALBUM AND I HAVE NO CHILL IT’S ALL I LISTEN TO. And of course, The Weeknd’s new EP. I only included “Call Out My Name” into my April 2018 playlist even if I WAS SO TEMPTED TO PUT EVERY TRACK. And I only included “Everyday” from WINNER’s new album even if I want to include every track. Haha! Anyway, Kesh shared Bobby’s “In Love” with me so I listened to that quite a bit and I was also amazed by Mamamoo’s “Starry Night”. I want to start getting to know them because those pipes! “Rollin” was care of my sister while Tobi Lou and ODIE’s songs were picked up from Mino. BECAUSE I ALSO ONLY LEARNED THAT THE WEEKND HAS A NEW EP FROM MINO WE’RE IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE
So, I haven’t talked about them much here on the blog (the same can’t be said on my Twitter account) but I stan WINNER. And the whole while, I thought that I’ll finally be able to talk about them here on the blog and promote them and find fellow ICs with this latest comeback. Instead, I went full-on fangirl ever since they dropped their album and I completely forgot about my blog. And by completely, I mean, as you can see, my last post was a month ago. The comeback hype, the actual comeback, and now, keeping up with everything WINNER has taken over my life. Completely. I didn’t watch dramas (until recently that is) and while I’ve watched variety shows, I haven’t been in the mood to write about them. My mind has been preoccupied with WINNER and WINNER only and all of my energy was spent on them. (And at work, of course.)
If you wanna know if I’ll be blogging anytime soon, well, I wish I could answer that but I honestly don’t know. I will be posting the things I did watch for the past month on Monday although that weekly round-up would account for a month. I cry at my inability to juggle things in a balanced manner.
I just wanted to finally post something so maybe this could get the ball rolling. I have lots of drafts that I need to finish and publish!
Anyway, if you do want to talk about WINNER with me though (or Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food), feel free to tweet me!
Today, I will be reviewing Let’s Eat, which I found so delightful. I got so obsessed with Let’s Eat that I finished this show in a week, despite being super busy with work. I’ve been sleeping less just so I can watch JUST. ONE. MORE. EPISODE. And now that time has passed since I finished it, I find that the more that I think about it, the more I love it? I wanna relieve it and rewatch it and when I go back to Seoul, I wanna visit the places they ate at. Now, I’m gonna profess my love for this show so I might get all fangirl-y in here. You’ve been warned!

I’m doing weekly round-ups now, which will include any media I consumed for the past week, from Monday to Sunday. I’d be glad if you end up getting some recommendations but I’m only doing this as a form of a media journal (to make it easy to write reviews later on). And fine, an actual journal too. Here goes! (Three weeks worth because I barely had a life prior to the past week!)

Ohmygod, I don’t even know myself anymore. That Man, Oh Soo is not a great drama, not by a long shot. But why do I find it so easy to watch? Seriously, I was shocked at the end of the second episode that it’s over and I didn’t find it boring or I didn’t have the itch to fast-forward the show. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS? HAVE I BEEN DRINKING THAT MAGIC POLLEN? I saw the second, third, and fourth episode all in one go so what does that say about the show? Or about me? Hahaha! Anyway, my thoughts on the show after the cut! Continue reading →
For today, I will be reviewing the 2017 drama special Queen of the Ring, starring Kim Seul-gi and Ahn Hyo-seop. I ended up watching this after one of my rewatches of Splish Splash Love and I just needed more Kim Seul-gi. I MISS HER DEARLY. I want her to headline a drama so badly but I know that seems unlikely. But how about a second female lead with her own loveline? Like Go Won-hee in Strongest Deliveryman? Or being cast in an ensemble drama like Laughter in Waikiki? I JUST WANT HER ON MY SCREEN IN A MEATY ROLE, KDRAMA GODS, JEBAL. Anyway, I’m getting off-topic so check out my review under the cut!

HAHAHA what is with this poster? It looks like Lee Jong-hyun is all too happy to serve his customers laced drinks which killed them, while he has Kim So-eun and Kang Tae-oh as accomplices who just share a cup of coffee by the side. And that is why I used this much more interesting poster instead of the basic ones which focused on Jong-hyun and So-eun. Hahaha! Anyway, I wish I could recap with all the works for even just the first episode for you since Dramabeans doesn’t have it. But I honestly do not have the time. I’m just taking a not-so-quick break from my thesis time. So this time around, I’ll only share my thoughts on the first episode. Read on for more! Continue reading →
Oppa, we need you in a drama soon! Park Hae-jin is also one of my OG oppas. I even watched a family drama for him back then. HAHAHA More photos under the cut!
